MISSION

Our mission is to provide all scholars with a rigorous academic and character-building middle school experience infused with precision, joy, motivation and a broad purview that prepares them for high school, college and the competitive world beyond. KIPP New Orleans Leadership Academy (KNOLA) scholars will become resilient individuals who will excel as leaders, connect as teammates and make a lasting impact on their school community and that of New Orleans in total.

RESULTS

KIPP New Orleans Leadership Academy is a new member of the KIPP New Orleans Schools (KNOS) public charter school network. KIPP New Orleans Schools is part of the national Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP), the largest and fastest-growing open-enrollment, college-preparatory public charter school network in the United States. Presently serving some 32,000 students in 20 states and the District of Columbia, with 2,400+ students in New Orleans (2011-2012) – the renowned KIPP program has a strong track record of success. Over 85% of KIPP graduates around the country have matriculated to college. Locally, KIPP New Orleans Schools ranks as the top-performing, open-enrollment public charter school network in the Recovery School District (RSD) – with our seventh- and eighth-graders exceeding the state average in all tested subject areas (as measured by LEAP).
